This spring, with generous funding from the United Church of Christ, City Mission led an empowering program called Public Voice. Over the course of eight weeks, ten women were trained in public speaking and developed strategies to share their personal stories of housing insecurity in Boston. The goal is for them to use their voice to educate audiences about housing and motivate listeners to action.
City Mission invites you to join us in supporting these women by hosting a speaking engagement at a location in the Greater Boston Area. Do you have a youth group, service committee, or event that could benefit from hearing stories related to housing, homelessness, or poverty in Boston?
If you are interested in learning more about this program, or would like to schedule a speaker, please contact Christine Chase.
